District Superintendent/CEO
Donald A. Ogilvie is district superintendent of the Erie 1 Board of Cooperative Educational Services (Erie 1 BOCES), a leadership role responsible for providing a variety of instructional, managerial and technology services to school districts in Erie County and throughout NYS. As district superintendent, Mr. Ogilvie is also a field representative of the New York State Commissioner of Education for the region.

Deputy Superintendent
Carol Barber is the deputy superintendent for Erie 1 BOCES. This role will focus upon providing leadership and support for the continual improvement of Erie 1 BOCES' programs and services. In this position, Ms. Barber oversees the Western New York Regional Information Center, which provides technology services to approximately 100 school districts and nearly 300,000 students in the state.

Executive Director, Finance and Information Systems
James Fregelette is the executive director of Finance and Information Systems at Erie1 BOCES. He has been with Erie 1 BOCES for more than 21 years. He is currently on the board of directors for the New York State Association of School Business Officials (NYSASBO). At Erie 1 BOCES, Mr. Fregelette is responsible for the oversight of all functions of the business office and financial affairs. In addition, he oversees the planning, purchasing and effective utilization of technology and information systems used by the organization.

Executive Director, Instructional Services
Melody Jason is the executive director of Instructional Services at Erie 1 BOCES. She has been with Erie 1 BOCES for nearly 20 years. The executive director of Instructional Services oversees all the instructional programs including special education, alternative education and career education provided for more than 3,000 students from the component school districts. In addition, as the executive director, Mrs. Jason oversees adult workforce development and the Erie 1 Teacher Center.

Executive Director, Administration and Operations
Susan Lawkowski is the executive director of Administration and Operations at Erie1 BOCES. She has been with Erie 1 BOCES for more than 15 years. Dr. Lawkowski oversees the delivery of Labor Relations Services and Human Resources Services, as well as Management Services which includes Policy Services, Safety Risk Services, Arts in Education, and Section VI/NYSPHSAA. She also coordinates the operation of facilities at the Education Campus and three career centers.
