Classified Positions
Clerical and most technical* positions are governed by Erie County Civil Service regulations.  These positions are typically filled from eligible lists resulting from an examination given for a specific title. This examination may be a written test, performance test or evaluation of training and experience or some combination of other factors.  If a position becomes available and you are an eligible candidate, you will be canvassed by the Human Resources Services office.
