The Regional Bilingual Education-Resource Network (RBE-RN) West is part of a statewide system of support funded by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) to enhance the knowledge and competencies of educators, parents and community members for promoting the academic excellence of limited English proficient/English language learners (LEP/ELLs) in New York State schools. It is our goal to provide the highest quality technical assistance, professional development and resources to ensure success for English language learners. Our service region includes all districts and schools in:
- Erie 1 BOCES;
- Erie 2 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES;
- Cattaraugus-Allegany-Wyoming-Erie BOCES;
- Orleans-Niagara BOCES and;
- The City of Buffalo.
Our work is coordinated with the NYSED, Office of Bilingual Education and Foreign Language Studies (OBE-FLS) and is linked with the RBE-RN centers located throughout the state in the Mid-West, Mid-State, Capital, Hudson Valley, Long Island and New York City service regions.
