The Enhancing Education through Technology (EETT) Grant is a three-year competitive grant funded through Title IID of NCLB. Erie 1 BOCES is one of 21 consortia throughout New York State awarded grant monies to fund education technology projects focused on improving student achievement by promoting technology integration into curriculum and instruction. On behalf of its 20 component districts and non-public schools, Erie 1 BOCES coordinates programs and services funded through EETT, including but not limited to
- Synchronous and asynchronous professional development for administrators and teachers
- Technology and training for districts that have one or more schools identified as in need of improvement or corrective action under section 1116 of NCLB
- Technology and training for districts identified by New York State as having a substantial need for assistance in acquiring and using technology
- An online resource site that provides a central, virtual location for information, research, and resources on issues pertaining specifically to district- and building-level administrators
- An instructional coaching development program
- Face-to-face workshops on innovative practices in education using the latest Web 2.0 technologies
