Alumnus is a Food Network VIP for a Day

An alumnus spent a day in mid-October on a special VIP tour of the Food Network. He then enjoyed a late lunch with celebrity chef Tyler Florence. After lunch it was back to the studio to witness the shooting of Tyler Florence's show.

LPN Training at Kaleida

Faced with impending license practical nurse (LPN) shortages in their long-term care facilities, Kaleida Health administrators met with 1199SEIU union representatives to brainstorm solutions. The result was a unique training agreement between labor, management and a partnership with Erie 1 BOCES.

Members of the Senate Committee on Education are interested in examining ways that the BOCES model might be expanded to achieve efficiencies resulting in greater taxpayer savings. The committee recently heard testimony at Erie 1 BOCES. Nearly 20 community leaders testified.
