The Erie 1 BOCES Labor Relations Service provides an important resource for school districts, educational organizations and agencies. The Labor Relations Service works closely with its participating school districts to provide advice and assistance with labor and personnel relations matters, as well as student relations issues.

The Labor Relations Service consists of two levels:

Level 1 Labor Relations Service
Level 2 Labor Relations Service

Both the Level 1 and Level 2 Labor Relations Service include the opportunity for seminars and in-service training for administration and staff of participating districts on applicable topics, such as current trends in collective bargaining, student discipline and suspension procedures, or review of new case law and judicial decisions of the Commissioner of Education.

Labor Relations Service staff also collect and distribute data for use in collective negotiations with administrative, instructional and support staff personnel.
