Erie 1 BOCES, through the Health, Safety and Risk Management Service, offers component school districts two options to meet the requirements of various regulatory agencies (NYSDOL, NYSDEC, NYSDOH, NYSED, USEPA, etc.).
Level One (base service) provides the foundation from which a district Health, Safety and Risk Management program can be built. Components such as written plans, employee training, workshops, informational newsletters and certification programs are included. These components, except for staff training, must be processed and implemented by component school district personnel.
The second option of service is Level Two. Level Two service provides two or more component districts the opportunity to have an Erie 1 BOCES staff member in-district on a weekly basis. This staff member will implement the district Health, Safety and Risk Management program that was planned with the component school district administrator responsible for Health, Safety and Risk Management services.
