Erie 1 BOCES provides various programs to encourage learning for middle school students in Western New York.

Career Enrichment Tours offers middle school students and faculty an opportunity to gain information on career areas through business and community agency tours.  This program also contains classroom activities for teachers based on CDOS standards.  In addition, Career Summer Camp is available every July/August for middle school students.

Alternative education for middle school students is designed to meet the academic and social needs of 7th and 8th graders having difficulty succeeding in a traditional middle or junior high school setting.  The goal of the program is to have the student re-enter regular programs at the 9th grade level with acceptable social and academic skills.
