25 Common Lessons Presented with Technology-Firefox Teaching with technology does not have to be difficult. Many of the lessons teachers do without technology can be done with technology. Students can practice spelling, define vocabulary words, and practice math on the computer. Come and see how lessons can be duplicated using the computer.
Assistive Technology the Bridge for Students with Disabilities The presentation will focus on the use of assistive technology to support learning for students with mild to severe disabilities. Participants will observe the use of Intellitools Classroom Suite, a software platform used to provide a multi-sensory environment providing differentiated instruction.
Ethics in the 21st Century As we teach our students to use Web 2.0 tools we must also teach the ethics that will empower them to build a positive online presence. HANDS-ON:The Virtual Pioneers - Social Studies in Virtual World This hands-on workshop will introduce teachers to Multi User Virtual Environments (MUVE) and how they are being used for teacher collaboration and learning. The participants will create an account in Second Life, and use this MUVE program to join a group of educators, known as The Virtual Pioneers.
HANDS-ON: Professional Learning Communities Using Technology Pioneer has created a wiki using Wikispaces free educational space to house instructional best practices information from teachers on the three major district initiatives which line to our Mission and Vision Statements.

21st Century Approach to 12th Grade English: Video Production An English and Art Teacher will present a collaborative course through student work,rubrics, and student reflections that demonstrates how students learn to evaluate media and information sources, then develop informed decisions about various issues. Students apply what they learn to video projects
Video Field Trip with Buffalo Zoo Gr:1-7 Students discover the importance of the Rainforest and the consequences of its destruction. Students will also learn what they can do to help save this vanishing habitat.

Once downloaded, users learn how to create playlists that can specify specific portions of a file to be played.

Teach Students how to Research with Firefox Improve how your students conduct research by using Firefox and the following Add-ons:QuickNote, Highlighter and Zotero. Students will have fun with these tools and research techniques taught in school can be duplicated outside of the classroom because they are free. This workshop uses Firefox.
