How do you connect to 21st century student? Engage them by utilizing the tools available. This presentation will show a variety of student produced projects from elementary through high school. Through their comments you will be amazed at the talents and creativity of all students.

Teaching with technology does not have to be difficult. Many of the lessons teachers do without technology can be done with technology. Students can practice spelling, define vocabulary words, and practice math on the computer. Come and see how lessons can be duplicated using the computer.

The presentation will focus on the use of assistive technology to support learning for students with mild to severe disabilities. Participants will observe the use of Intellitools Classroom Suite, a software platform used to provide a multi-sensory environment providing differentiated instruction.

This hands-on workshop will introduce teachers to Multi User Virtual Environments (MUVE) and how they are being used for teacher collaboration and learning. The participants will create an account in Second Life, and use this MUVE program to join a group of educators, known as The Virtual Pioneers.

Web 2.0 tools like VoiceThread.com, represent an interactive online world for students, and new educational tools for teachers. Using VoiceThread, your students can easily create multimedia on-line slideshows that invite comments and input from around the world.

An English and Art Teacher will present a collaborative course through student work,rubrics, and student reflections that demonstrates how students learn to evaluate media and information sources, then develop informed decisions about various issues. So how can we prepare our students for this On-line Learning Buzz? Moodle is an Open Source VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) that allows High Schools to prepare their students for Higher Education. Participants will take a tour of Moodle and gather more information about implementation.

Participants will learn how to use iTunes to locate instructional podcasts. They will use search features of the iTunes Store to locate both podcasts and content from iTunes U. Once downloaded, users learn how to create playlists that can specify specific portions of a file to be played.

Improve how your students conduct research by using Firefox and the following Add-ons:QuickNote, Highlighter and Zotero. Students will have fun with these tools and research techniques taught in school can be duplicated outside of the classroom because they are free. This workshop uses Firefox.
