Middle School Career Camp

Middle school students are having a blast at this summer’s career camp. The two, one-week camp sessions are packed with activities, allowing youth to explore different career choices. Students are learning tips on how to create movies, healthy meals and popular hairstyles.

Kidbits’ 25th Anniversary

Hundreds of English language learners across western New York created Kidbits, a 100-page composition of poetry and short fiction, written in their new language. On June 14 a reception was held to acknowledge the achievements of the students and celebrate Kidbits’ 25th anniversary.

Reserves Audit 2010

Reserve funds are a standard accounting practice. The primary purpose for Erie 1 BOCES creating our reserves is to avoid sharp increases in administrative and service costs, which would then be passed on to local taxpayers.

Virtual Learning Grant

Erie County public and private schools will benefit from a grant designed to provide students with expanded learning opportunities through the use of online instructional methods and resources. Erie 1 BOCES was awarded with a nearly $600,000 grant to train and implement new technologies within area schools.
