Technology Services

The Western New York Regional Information Center (WNYRIC) provides technology services to five regionally based BOCES and their component school districts. A quarter of a million students are educated in the Western New York Region where the WNYRIC provides information and technology services to support instructional and administrative functions. The WNYRIC's main office is located at Erie 1 BOCES' Education Campus in West Seneca, N.Y.

An Agenda of Change

If you have been following the news and the Board of Regents agendas since New York's new Commissioner of Education started you know that several initiatives are on a fast track. Recently a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was sent to each school outlining initiatives to be funded if NYS is successful in their bid for Race to the Top funding. The MOU states the intent to follow through with these initiatives with or without funding which would seem to give us all insight to the strategic focus of the State Education Department moving forward.
