New Visions Students Hold Virtual Showcase of Model Zoo Exhibits
Students in the New Visions Zoo Wildlife & Conservation Careers program typically showcase their final projects at the Buffalo Zoo, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic this year, the class thought outside the box.
The annual Project Showcase took on a virtual twist, with instructor Leigh Ziemczonek's students displaying their scale models of zoo exhibits online. Each member of the class constructed an exhibit after choosing a specific animal and studying their behaviors, needs and requirements throughout the entire school year. A total of nine model exhibits were built for the showcase this year. You can see each exhibit by viewing the attached pictures.
This year's Zoo Wildlife & Conservation Careers class included the following seniors, listed with their home district/school and their selected animal for their exhibit.
