Erie 1 BOCES Selects Bindemann to Lead Career and Technical Education
West Seneca, NY – Scott Bindemann has been appointed to serve as director of Erie 1 BOCES’ Career and Technical Education (CTE) division.
Bindemann, whose appointment was approved by the organization’s Board of Education, will be responsible for the performance of students, staff and administration within the CTE, New Visions and P-TECH programs. He will also lead the design, development, delivery and evaluation of CTE programs and services provided by Erie 1 BOCES.
The Kenmore native, who has nearly 20 years of experience in education, has been with Erie 1 BOCES since April 2022, serving as associate director of Instructional Services. Before joining Erie 1 BOCES, Bindemann worked as an assistant principal and principal for the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center of Orleans/Niagara BOCES. He also previously served as an assistant principal at Lancaster Middle School.
Bindemann earned his bachelor’s degree from Buffalo State College, as well as a master’s degree from the University at Buffalo and administrative certification from Canisius College. He holds teaching certifications in special education, social studies, elementary education, and literacy. As a classroom teacher, he taught students at the elementary and secondary levels.
Bindemann is a member of the New York State (NYS) Association of Career and Technical Administrators (NYS ACTEA), NYS Association for Computers and Technology in Education (NYSCATE), and SkillsUSA. Previously, Scott served as an administrative trustee for NYS SkillsUSA. He is a graduate of Leadership Niagara Class of 2016.
