Future Music Mogul
Austin Rosputni is a senior from Maryvale High School and is enrolled in the Video Production and Recording Arts program at Erie 1 BOCES Harkness Career and Technical Center.
“I enrolled in BOCES because I wanted to learn more about the production side of the music industry,” Austin said. “I wanted a better understanding of how a studio works and what steps it took for a professional artist or producer to record, mix, and master a song or EP.”
Following graduation, Austin plans to attend Villa Maria College to major in music theory, and possibly minor in production as well.
“I hope to spend more time in studios and be hired for a position related to this line of work,” Austin added.
Under the instruction of Mark Hunt, Austin has learned about equipment, project development, recording processes and techniques, copyright, controllers, file formats, the art of mixing and more.
“Austin is very respectful, polite and supportive of his peers. Austin writes his own music and is hoping to study music theory and music production after graduation,” said Hunt.
