Basic Life Support, 2 Year Certification
Basic Life Support For Healthcare Providers, 2 Year Certification The American Heart Association Basic Life Support is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device and oxygen), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and foreign body airway obstruction. This class is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in hospital and out of hospital settings. This 6 hour program involves multiple learning activities which include a videotaped overview of the chain of survival and other cognitive information.

Certified Medical Billing Specialist Prep & Exam (18 Hours)

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Employed as a Medical Biller? Get certified! This is a review course for the Certified Medical Billing Specialist Exam (CMBS) from the Medical Association of Billers (MAB). This program includes first year membership to the Medical Association of Billers, review book and exam fee.

Heart Saver CPR/AED
The Heartsaver CPR course trains lay rescuers to recognize and treat life threatening emergencies with adult, child and infant victims. The course includes recognition and emergency resuscitation techniques for heart attack, and stroke in adults as well as prevention of choking in infants and children, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Successful completers will receive an American Heart Association 2 year CPR certification including an identification card.

Infection Control & Barrier Precautions
This 3-hour course meets the requirements as mandated by Chapter 786 of Education Law & Public Health Law for professionals licensed in NY State. Professionals must complete this approved course prior to relicensure. The course includes training in barrier precautions and infection control including engineering work and practice controls to prevent transmission of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and Hepatitis B & C virus in the course of professional practice.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Working in the medical field and want to learn the Medent software for clerical duties? Learn how to enter patient demographics, appointment scheduling and patient triage. This course also includes electronic document management, which includes ID insurance scanning and HIPAA authorization, and scanning and sorting by patient and doctor.
