Overview Alternative Education

Northtowns Academy is an alternative setting that provides students new beginnings and second chances.  Northtowns Academy focuses on the whole student: allowing every opportunity to achieve goals, ensuring a brighter future, and building productive members of society. 

Each program provides teachers, certified in a core content area, who have experience working with an at-risk population.

NTA Graduation 2015

Photo of Northtowns Academy GraduationNorthtowns Academy held their annual graduation ceremony for ALP and CCRA students. Twenty-five students, representing 11 school districts, were recognized and presented with diplomas.

The keynote speaker at the ceremony was David White, director of Educational Development Programs at SUNY Fredonia and former Buffalo Bills linebacker. His message encouraged students to persevere in life regardless of any obstacles or challenges they may face.

Former student Christine Mims, who is currently employed at Emerald North Nursing and Rehab Center, was presented with the perseverance award. She also shared her journey with the graduates.
