School districts and taxpayers statewide depend on Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) to meet their educational and financial goals. There are 19 school districts that are components of Erie 1 BOCES. Those districts are able to enroll in a variety of instructional and non-instructional services offered by Erie1 BOCES. BOCES Positions and Applications

Classified - Open Positions
Classified positions are for support staff. Clerical and most technical positions are governed by Erie County Civil Service regulations. These positions are typically filled from eligible lists resulting from an examination given for a specific title. This examination may be a written test, performance test or evaluation of training and experience or some combination of other factors. If a position becomes available and you are an eligible candidate, you will be canvassed by the Human Resources Services office.

Certified - Open Positions
Certified positions are for teachers and administrators. Applications are only accepted if the candidate holds the proper NYS certification.

Apply Online
Teaching, administrative and some support (classified) applications are accepted online. You will have to create an account to use this feature.

Submit paper applications to Human Resources Services, Erie 1 BOCES, 355 Harlem Road, West Seneca, NY 14224 for permanent laborer, cleaner, teacher aide and substitute positions.

2020-2021 Career and Technical Education Substitute Application

Please print and complete application. Send completed application, a copy of your certification and a signed copy of ‘Information for Substitute Teachers’ to:

Special Education Summer School

For 2021 Special Education Summer School Program Employment:

Please print, complete, and send the appropriate application below.  Print and sign the Extended Year Confidentiality Statement.  Include a copy of any required certification/license or TEACH printout, and documentation of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) (if applicable). All applicants who have NOT been employed by Erie 1 BOCES Special Education must send in two Letters of Reference or have two Summer Work Reference forms (listed below) filled out.  Deadline for applications for returning staff is May 1, 2021.  Deadline for applications for new staff is May 14, 2021.

 

Interviews for new applicants anticipated to be held on May 1, 2021 between 8:00-4:00 at Erie 1 BOCES Education Campus 355 Harlem Road West Seneca, NY 14224. All required COVID protocols will be required to attend.
