Erie 1 BOCES Health and Safety Plan and Summary of Protocols (September 1, 2021)

Dear E1B School Family,

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our health and safety protocols for the 2021 - 2022 school year. Throughout the summer, we met frequently with the Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH) and our partnering component school districts to develop a plan in accordance with the recommendations from the CDC, NYSED and ECDOH.

On August 23, 2021, the ECDOH released its Guidance for PK-12 Schools for 2021-2022. In response, we have aligned our full, Health and Safety Plan to the requirements of the ECDOH. For your review, we have also created a one-page summary, "Outline of COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols".

By all accounts, a return to full, in-person instruction is what is best for our students and we believe that with the proper protocols in place to the extent possible, we will thrive in an in-person environment.
