Advanced Manufacturing Process Technician

Designed with business and industry, this specialized program will prepare you to work as an entry-level technician in the manufacturing industry. This program focuses on various aspects of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, quality control and safety protocols.

The program provides hands-on training in operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment. Students learn how to set up machines, monitor production processes, troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure efficient and safe operation. (160 Hour Program)

September 11, 2023 to October 6, 2023 (plus one month paid internship)

Monday to Friday
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

*This program includes a one-month PAID internship and opportunities for immediate employment upon completion.

Registration Process
This program requires an application and entrance exam.

Step 2: Choose a TABE Test Date (Testing details will be emailed to you prior to your selected test date.)

Admission Requirements

  • TABE Score NRS Level 4 in Reading and NRS Level 3 in Math.*
  • A personal interview will be conducted.

Employment Outlook
Advanced Manufacturing Process Technicians work in various capacities in the manufacturing sector. Employment opportunities exist in material handling, quality control, production, as well as numerous other roles which may be industry-specific. Entry-level employees in manufacturing can expect to earn between $16 and $18 per hour. Erie 1 BOCES assists with resume writing and interview skills, along with job leads and other employment assistance.

*Exceptions to admission scores may be considered based on work history, prior education, personal interview, and employer recommendations.
