Electro Mechanical Maintenance
The 600-hour program covers all aspects of working in an industrial setting. You will learn how to troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment in the following areas: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Pipefitting, Sheet Metal, Basic Electricity, Industrial Electricity, PLCs, Welding, Mechanical Drives and Machining. All aspects of machine safety and blueprint reading are covered. You will receive the OSHA 10 Certification for General Industry. (600 Hour Program)

Tuition $8,250
Financial assistance may be available through Federal Student Aid, ACCES-VR, BETC/ECC One Stop, CFA Funding, NETC, the US Department of Veterans Affairs, or other sources. A Financial Aid Coordinator is on staff to assist you.
A $300 security deposit is required to reserve your spot in this class.
Admission Requirements
- A TABE score of 9.0 in reading and 9.0 in math.*
- A personal interview will be conducted.
- A valid high school diploma or equivalent is required for students receiving financial aid.
- A valid NYS Driver's License.
Employment Outlook
Entry-level Electro Mechanical Maintenance workers will find opportunities in many sectors of industry, including manufacturing, distribution, transportation and heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Entry-level technicians can expect to earn on average $18 to $22 per hour. Examples of companies our graduates have worked for include the NFTA, Calspan, CertainTeed, US Sugar, JIT Toyota-Lift, SweetWorks and SoPark Electronics.
Erie 1 BOCES also provides services such as placement assistance, resume writing and interview skills to help students in their search for a career as an entry-level Electro Mechanical Maintenance technician.
