Staff and Student Relations
Housed at Erie 1 BOCES, several athletic associations—including the Chautauqua Cattaraugus Athletic Association (CCAA), Erie County Interscholastic Conference (ECIC), Niagara Frontier League (NFL), and Section VI—promote student-athlete development, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence across Western New York.
The Erie 1 BOCES Regional Certification Office functions as an extension of the New York State Education Department Office of Teaching, and is authorized to evaluate the credentials of applicants and recommend certification for most New York State certificate titles.

Our creative, hard-working professionals have an impressive background in public relations, journalism, photography, corporate communications, strategic planning, graphic design, printing, copying and more.
Erie 1 BOCES provides quality, cost-efficient services to our 19 component school districts. We also offer an automated substitute service, Absence Management, and Certification Services.
The Erie 1 BOCES Labor Relations Service provides an important resource for school districts, educational organizations, and agencies. Labor Relations Service works closely with its participating school districts to provide advice and assistance with labor and personnel relations matters, as well as student relations issues.
