Kenmore West senior Preston Payne is excelling in the Welding program at the Kenton Career and Technical Education Center, where his strong work ethic and determination are helping him forge a clear path toward a successful career.

“Preston’s work ethic matches his ability to dream big,” Rosiek said. “He is an excellent ambassador for both the welding program and Erie 1 BOCES.”
Preston joined the program to strengthen his welding abilities and prepare himself for the demands of the industry.
“I joined the welding program to expand my previous knowledge of welding and make myself as valuable as possible when I join the workforce,” he said. “This program has given me an advantage by challenging me to learn something new and offering different problem-solving opportunities.”

After graduation, Preston plans to enter the workforce and begin his career in the welding field, bringing his skills and ambition directly into the industry.
