West Seneca Student Shines in Early Childhood Education at Potter

West Seneca East High School senior Zoe Ryan is making a strong impression in the Early Childhood Education program at the Potter Career and Technical Education Center, where her dedication, creativity, and professionalism have set her apart.

Instructor Jaime Lubs praised Zoe’s skills and passion for working with young children.

“Zoe consistently demonstrates a deep understanding of child development and the skills necessary to create nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments,” Lubs said.

“She approaches every classroom experience with professionalism, patience, and creativity," Lubs added. "Zoe excels both academically and in hands-on experiences, taking initiative in planning meaningful activities, building positive relationships with children, and supporting their growth.”

Zoe is one of the many students who have taken the Early Childhood Education program to springboard themselves into one of the many careers that involve working with children.

“I joined Early Childhood because I wanted to get a feel for the career and gain hands-on experience,” Zoe said. “I plan to continue working with kids, but I also aim to attend college to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.”

With her combination of technical skills, leadership, and genuine care for children, Zoe is well-prepared for future success in both the education and healthcare fields.
