Clap Loud, Cheer Big, HAVE FUN! Maryvale Academy’s Annual Talent Show

Last week, the stage lit up—not just with spotlights, but with heart, creativity, and incredible student talent—as Maryvale Academy again hosted a one-of-a-kind student-run talent show.

This event was more than just a showcase of performance—it was a full celebration of student leadership and artistic expression. From concept to curtain call, students led every aspect of the evening. They performed, managed backstage operations, designed the event flyer and promotions, and even prepared the show snacks that welcomed guests.

Thirty student took to the stage, sharing their unique talents and filling the room with joy and applause. The variety of acts was as inspiring as it was entertaining—students sang, danced, played the ukulele and handpan, performed basketball tricks, and even cracked jokes that had the audience laughing along. Each act was a powerful expression of confidence, creativity, and connection.

The talent didn’t stop on the stage. Surrounding the performance space, guests were treated to a stunning student art gallery. Paintings, sculptures, and multimedia pieces created in teacher Tom Rojek’s classroom offered a deeper glimpse into the imaginations and voices of the artists behind them.

“We are all so proud of our students,” said music teacher Shelley Wos. “It's amazing what we can do together.”

That spirit of togetherness truly defined the evening. The talent show wasn’t just an event—it was a reminder of the strength and brilliance that shines when students are empowered to take the lead.

From everyone involved: thank you to the students, staff, and families who made the night unforgettable. We can’t wait to see what our amazing students dream up next!
