Winchester Academy Sings and Celebrates the School Year
It was a happy day and everyone knew it on the final day of the school year as Winchester Academy held its K-2 “Celebrate Me” event.
The ceremony both celebrated graduating second graders and the entire school, which put together a concert featuring eight different songs. Families packed the auditorium, taking photos and cheering on their children and their classmates.
“My favorite part was seeing the students so excited. They worked so hard to put this together,” said Winchester Academy Principal Liza Fiorello. “It was great to see them all up on stage, celebrating and doing their thing, and showing their families that this is what we work so hard for.”
The enthusiasm and excitement on the stage were evident as the children sang and danced along to songs like “Happy and You Know It”, “We Are the Dinosaurs”, “Shake My Sillies Out”, and “I Think You’re Wonderful”.
Each class wore a different color shirt that said, “Me is all I want to be”, emphasizing the positivity of both the event and the environment that Winchester Academy creates.
The day concluded the school year and highlighted the progress made by each student throughout the year.
“They've grown so much from September to now at the end of the year,” said Fiorello. “They've grown academically, socially, and even emotionally, as well. It’s so great to see all their progress and we're so proud of them.”
