Three individuals—two students and one adult—sit around a round table in a classroom, smiling at the camera. On the table are Halloween-themed items, including wrapped treats and small bags.

Work-Based Learning

Our Work-Based Learning programs open doors for students to explore careers, develop skills, and gain hands-on experience — all while building confidence for the future. With 20+ community business partners, we provide a variety of vocational opportunities tailored to each student’s strengths and goals.

These tiered programs are designed to offer structure, support, and meaningful work experiences in real-world settings.

Opportunities Include:

  • Individualized placements based on each student’s skills, interests, and abilities

  • Job coaching support to guide students in workplace success

  • Internship experiences in enclave, small group, and community-based settings

  • Skilled training programs, such as LEAP, Next Step, and individual internship opportunities

Whether a student is exploring career options, developing workplace skills, or preparing for independent employment, our programs provide the foundation for success.
