Making the Connection in Health Careers
Candace Santana, health careers instructor at the Harkness Career & Technical Center, brought her high school class to Connect Life and then the UB Gross Anatomy Lab and Brain Museum in downtown Buffalo.
The students had an amazing experience, according to Santana. Their host reinforced her observation after sharing the following message.
“I have received a lot of great feedback from the presenters on how engaged the students were and the level of questions they had,” said Melanie Brem, account executive for Connect Life.
Erie 1 BOCES health careers students devote their junior year to the study of all that is possible in the health care fields. Their senior year, known as “basic nursing skills,” is focused on the practice of clinical skills required in the profession.
