Erie 1 BOCES Staff Immersed in Learning, Building Bonds

Twelve-month staff from across Erie 1 BOCES came together to learn and build bonds as they prepared for the upcoming school year.

 “It’s really important to meet and connect with people from different departments and learn what’s going on across the organization,” said Jessica Karches, who co-chaired the day’s activities.

The day-long E1B Connect event included team building activities as well as instructional sessions. Topics included cybersecurity, cultural awareness as well as branding and soft skills. Karches said she was impressed by the enthusiasm of staff who presented and those who attended the different instructional sessions.

“We have one of the most talented and enthusiastic teams in Western New York, and you can see that in the camaraderie that you find across the staff,” Karches said.
