Frontier Senior Looks to Give Back Through Career Choice
Morgan Gubala is a senior from Frontier High School and is enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at Erie 1 BOCES Potter Career & Technical Center. “I enrolled in BOCES because it’s been my dream to give back to the community and help others, and criminal justice has always held an interest in what a career could be for me,” Morgan said. In the fall of 2023, following graduation, Morgan plans on attending college while being in the Army Reserve, then enlisting in the active military upon completion. Under the instruction of Scott Grandits, Morgan has learned about criminal minds, courts and corrections, forensics and more. “Morgan has maintained a 100 average throughout her time in the program,” Grandits said. “She is very helpful to classmates and the Potter building as a whole.” “This program has given me knowledge about the criminal justice field and different job requirements,” Morgan said. “I’m grateful I had the chance to take this class to better learn about my career choice. It has helped me understand who I am and who I can become in the future.”
