The quick thinking and emergency preparedness training of Erie 1 BOCES student Brody Kaufman made all of the difference as he stepped up to help save the life of a kayaker in distress while traveling with family in Florida.

Maryvale Union Free School District senior Alexis Fronczak is excelling in her studies in the Early Childhood Education program at the Potter Career and Technical Education (CTE) Center. Beyond her studies, Alexis said the program has positively impacted her outlook on facing challenges.
“The biggest advantage I’ve gained is understanding that things will get easier,” Alexis said. “You shouldn’t give up and learn from failure.”
