CNC Machining
CNC machinists are among the most in demand of all trades people. By taking our 300 hour CNC Machining training program, you will learn the basics required for entry-level machining employment. Our instructor is a journeyman tool and die maker who will teach you blueprint reading theory, precision measurement (down to half the width of a human hair), hands on manual machining, foundational G-Code programming and Mazatrol controls operation.
This program is designed to get you working as an entry-level CNC operator. As any employer will tell you, the best programmers have started out as operators. No matter where your CNC Machining career takes you, starting with this program is as good as it gets! (300 Hour Program)

Financial assistance may be available through ACCES-VR, BETC/ECC One Stop, CFA Funding, NETC, the US Department of Veterans Affairs or other sources.
A $300 security deposit is required to reserve your spot in this class.
Admission Requirements
- A TABE score of 10.0 in reading and 10.0 in math*.
- A personal interview will be conducted.
Employment Outlook
CNC machine operator positions exist in nearly all firms that manufacture products. From aerospace to cabinet making, CNC plays a role in the way things are made in today’s factories. As entry-level CNC machine operators, our graduates will find job opportunities throughout the region. Entry-level CNC operators earn on average $20 to $24 per hour. Examples of companies our graduates have worked for include North American Carbide, HDM Hydraulics, Novatech Machining, and Integer.
Erie 1 BOCES also provides services such as placement assistance, resume writing and interview skills to help students in their search for a career as a CNC operator.
