It is what it sounds like, but it also includes several new enhancements for educators. Chromebook screencasts can now include your webcam in a small or medium frame as you record your screen, as well as the ability to annotate what is on your screen as you record. Once the video is recorded, it will create a text transcript that can be edited after the fact, or used as a means to trim and navigate your video. Videos are automatically sent to your Google Drive, and are easily shared through Google Drive or your Chromebook as well. Teachers can use this tool to quickly and easily record mini lessons, and students can use it to demonstrate their understanding of a topic through video. | 2 |

The Chrome Canvas app is installed on your Chromebook by default, and it allows teachers and students to draw layered artwork either from scratch or by importing an image as a guide or “base” layer. A variety of colors, pencils, and brushes are available … so bring a stylus if you have one!
