NFIEC College and Career Portfolio User Group

More

For two decades, the Niagara Frontier Industry and Education Council (NFIEC) has backed the College and Career Portfolio (CCP) initiative in Western New York (WNY) high schools. This educational program offers an extensive assessment of students' skills in various fields, aiding employers and college admissions officers. Implemented over 20 or 40 weeks, high school teachers and staff collaborate to enhance each student's strengths. After compiling their College and Career Portfolio, students can showcase their work through a unique web link to potential employers. Upon verification of meeting career and academic standards, students undergo interviews with local businesses. Successful candidates earn a Certificate of Employability and may be recommended for the CCP Scholarship competition by teachers and administrators. Over the past two decades, CCP students in WNY have collectively received over $60,000.00 in awards.

These sessions are for schools that are a member of NFIEC's College and Career Portfolio through Erie 1 BOCES. If your school is not a paid member, please contact Kelly Oldenburg at koldenburg@nfiec.com for information on how to become a member, and/or contact Antonio Scordo, ascordo@e1b.org to schedule a demonstration of the CCP platform.
