When are the entrance exams being offered?
Registration is limited. It is available ONLINE ONLY. You must be ONLINE ON-TIME! If you are more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled test, you will be locked out and required to re-register and repay. Be sure to see the technology requirements below.

What happens if I don't pass?
Candidates may retest twice within 1 year (365 days). 30 days must have passed between tests.
How can I register for the exam?
This is a two step process:
First, you must fill out the Registration Application. Click Here for the Registration Application.
Second, you must process the testing fee. Click here to process payment. Once your payment has been processed, someone will contact you with testing details.
You will be sent directions to make sure your technology works approximately one week prior to the exam by Carol Labby, RN. For questions, please email Carol Labby, RN (clabby@e1b.org) or call (716) 821-7500.
How much does the entrance exam cost?
There is a $40 non-refundable testing fee. Be aware! If you need to reschedule, it will cost another $40. We apologize, but Erie 1 BOCES incurs fees associated with testing and scheduling. We are currently accepting only credit/debit card payments.
How long is the test?
Approximately 3.5 hours.
What is on the test?
The TEAS is the Test of Essential Academic Skills. For information or to purchase a study guide, please visit www.atitesting.com.
When and how is the next class starting?
We expect the next class to begin in May. The class may be offered through a collaboration of in-person and virtual classes. Students should be prepared in the event of either scenario.
What are the technical requirements for online testing?
Technical requirements are below. Someone will contact you to test your device ahead of the exam.
- Desktop or Laptop Computer: fully charged (No iPads, tablets or phones are to be used)
- 2 GB free RAM space
- Microphone: any microphone, either internal or external
- Webcam: 320x240 VGA resolution (minimum), either internal or external
- Google Chrome: installed and updated, you will not be able to take the proctored assessment with any other browser
- ID Card: for tester validation (school or government issued)
- A well-lit, quiet space to take the assessment
When will I get my results? What are the next steps?
Exam results are immediate. If successful, you will be contacted to secure funding.
