Forever Memories
Ella Modicamore is a 12th grader from Williamsville North High School and is enrolled in the Digital Media program at Erie 1 BOCES Calspan Career and Technical Center.
“I enrolled in BOCES because I have loved digital art and animating ever since I was a little kid,” said Ella. “I want to do animation and video game design as my career. I took this class to expand my knowledge on how to make videos, animate and so much more.”
In the fall of 2024, following graduation, Ella plans on getting a major in art and teaching and a minor in coding.
“My plan is to go to SUNY Erie Community College for my associate degree, finish my bachelor's at Daemen University and finish my master's degree at Buffalo State,” she said.
“This program has helped me reach my goals by showing me how to use industry-standard software, such as Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Photoshop and so much more. It has also helped me learn how to adjust to programs I don’t usually use for my digital art,” said Ella. “This program has not only helped me with my knowledge in my field, but my social knowledge. I have gained many strong friendships with the other students and they have helped me when I needed them. I love this program and I will never forget the time I spent here.”
As part of public education, Erie 1 BOCES offers a variety of career and technical programs during the regular school day to high school students in Erie County.
