Special Education Regulation

More

We provide training and information on the special education process consistent with federal law, regulation and guidance, as well as State law and NYSED guidance.

The role of the Committee on Special Education (CSE/CPSE) and the process used by schools must follow the regulations in Part 200 and 201 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, when a referral and evaluation of a student is completed to consider the need for special education services. All workshops provide guidance and best practices based on these regulations to support students with disabilities and address educational needs.
